Janus International Corporation has achieved wind load certification with the
Model 3100 Commercial Door. The Model 3100 Commercial Door was designed to meet
stringent wind load requirements for mini warehouse applications while still
providing the best door operation in the industry. The new innovative door
design minimized the locking and reinforcement needed to strengthen the door to
pass rigorous wind load testing. Fewer friction points and less additional
weight results in a door that operates better and still yields greater strength
than any other available to the self storage industry.
Janus International Corporation has tested in accordance with ASTM E-330 at
an independent testing laboratory and received wind load certification for
commercial applications. The Series 3100 Door was designed and tested to meet
requirements of FBC (Florida Building Code), IBC (International Building Code),
SBC (Standard Building Code) and ASCE 7 (American Society of Civil Engineers).
The ASCE Standard is used in the Florida Building Code and the International
Building Code.

The Series 3100 Door exhibits
impressive wind load capabilities. For opening widths through
12'-0" and opening heights through 20'-0", the design wind load
rating is +36.0 psf/-41.0 psf. For opening widths over 12'-0" through
16'-0" and opening heights through 20'-0", the design wind load rating is +35.0
psf/-38.0 psf. Locking device may be located on the bottom bar or the curtain.
Doors can be installed to steel, concrete or filled block jambs and operation
may be push-up, hand chain or electric.
